This small cemetery sits a couple hundred yards off a rural road. The handful of stones that are legible are all children who died in the 19th century, most very young. Because of it’s location I have tried to take photos without including the names, as a bit of work on Google would reveal exactly where this place is.
There is no recorded history for this area that I can find, but the older people in the local community will tell you that the hill top the little cemetery sits on was once the site of an old hotel, and just a bit further down on the bank of a small creek was a legal “government distillery” during the same time period. It seems the cemetery is all that remains of any sort of settlement that might have once been here.
