This trailer park was bought up in anticipation of building some sort of Birkdale Village-type shopping/apartment complex on the land between Statesville and Mooresville adjacent to I-77. The residents were moved out and the land was eventually cleared, but nothing has ever happened, it just remains an empty parcel, likely due to a downturn in the economy.
