Statesville Historical Collection Grand Opening!

The Statesville Historical Collection, the work of Dr. Steve Hill and the numerous local residents who have donated to it through the years is now open in it’s new location. A much better building, more space, with new displays for all the incredible things the collection houses. I highly recommend if you are local or just passing through you stop in for a look. The collection is great and finally has a space befitting it.

    What about “Statesville airline railroad”

I’ve looked into it but there’s not a whole lot out there since the railroad was never completed. There are a couple places where bits and pieces of it are still visible, such as on 4th Creek between Tonewood and Hwy 21.
