The “Accountant’s House“, one of the locations from the old site is now back up. If I recall correctly, it was one of the first places I photographed after switching from my ancient Sony FD Mavica I used for most of Davis Hospital to a 35mm film camera.
Clear Cut Farm is now up on the locations page. These photos were not on the original site.
New locations added today include Dr Myer’s Office , China Grove Farm , and Lost Cemetery.
A small update to the Davis info. A page about the hospital’s school of nursing, that began operation in 1920 and ended with the hospital’s closing in 1984. In addition, a new location not on the original site: The Underpass House. Also added to the Davis history page is a link to LeGette Blythe’s biographyContinue reading “Davis’ School of Nursing”
A new update to the folklore page.In rural Iredell county an old story gets a new lease on life.
New addition to the folklore/history page today, the tale of the Cora Tree.
A new location not on the original site is up today. Clutter Farm. Also made some more updates to the Davis Hospital photos, added some new links and restored the Francis Garrou High School page with some photos not on the original site.

These were taken in 2003 with a Sony FD100 Mavica camera. If you don’t know what real pain is, Google that and be glad you liveContinue reading “The real work begins.”
The framework is done, but there’s a lot of work to do yet. I’ll be slowly adding back all the old content, including better resolution pictures that weren’t optimized for dial up. There’s also new content to come, and I’ll try to get some of it up in-between working on replacing the old pages. AllContinue reading “Welcome back.”
